I can imagine a conversation between Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Waterson’s classic cartoon characters, beginning with Calvin saying, “I think I lost my joy.”
Trying to help his buddy, Hobbes asks, “Where did you have it last?”
A sad Calvin answers, “I can’t remember.”
“You can have some of mine,” offers Hobbes. “I saw a really awesome double rainbow yesterday!”
Usually confident and energetic, Calvin must have had a brush with something that really shook his composure. He seems down and blue, not his normal self. We all know just how Calvin feels. Living in this world can shake anyone’s faith.
